Stripers are here and we have been doing very good throwing 5″ fish traps and swim baits. We are working shallow water using this technique. The spoon bite is taking off with the cooler water making for some great trips. This will continue to improve over the next few weeks as we see more fish entering the system.
Lake fishing this time of year means slowing down. Bass don’t move when the water gets in the low 50’s and your baits need to stay in strike zone longer. Scents work better this time of year for Jigs and Drop shot baits. Look for fish along creek channel edges. You can also work spoons when you find bait balls along these same areas.
